The largest mosque in Sudan
The largest mosque in Sudan is the Al-Nilin Mosque, also known as the Mosque of the two Niles. It is located in Omdurman, Sudan, on the western banks of the Nile river, just opposite the confluence of the two Niles. The mosque was built in the 1970s during the Nimeiry era of Sudan and was completed in 1984. It is a circular structure mounted by a lightweight aluminum space-frame and is a fine architectural religious venue in the country.
