African Animals

Africa is home to the world's largest living land animal, the African elephant, and the tallest, the Giraffe.

Africa is endowed with a varied array of wild animals. For each ecological setting therein, there are wild animals to match and habitats within which to sustain them. Some of these wild animals are classified as "endangered", while others are more populous, therefore, of "least concern."

No matter the sizes of their respective populations, they each contribute to the biodiversity balance within and across their respective African territories.
